Well, if the weather will not cooperate I can surely make my own spring! I used the new Blossom Petal Punch 121808 from Stampin' Up and In Colors, Concord Crush and BLushing Bride. I love when you can find different uses for punches than its original use.
You cut FOUR of the scalloped edge petal and free-hand cut a swirl on two of them and basically that is it. I did this with a class and it went smoothly and quickly.
Cards Stock: Concord Crush, Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla
Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes 115370 (Has paid for itself ten times over! Great value!)
Ink: Regal Rose Ink Pad to sponge around the edges of flower and Old Olive to sponge around the leaves, Perfect Plum Ink Pad for the sentiment.
Accessories: Blossom Petal Punch, Two Step Bird Punch, Modern Label Punch, Dimensionals, Basic Pearls, 1/2 inch Stitched Poly Ribbon, Snail, Daffodil Delight Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots
To make the stamen I cut a bit of grosgrain ribbon and using my fingernail I began pulling off the thread from one of the selvage ends. I glued them in place with a glue dot. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO COLOR THE TIPS OF THE STAMEN. THE INK WILL SMEAR ON YOUR CARD!
Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping,
