INK TO PAPER TECHNIQUE
Ever wonder if there was a simple technique out there that would take your project to the next level yet not take hours to do? We all love a WOW project and we love it more when we can step it up with a simple technique. The first card below is a simple card project that was transformed to WOW in a matter of a few seconds in the card that follows. Let me show you how.
SUPPLIES:
STAMPS: Everything Eleanor (w124162, c124164)
INK: Crumb Cake Ink Pad (126975), Early Espresso Ink Pad (126974), Raspberry Ripple Stampin’ Writer (126856 set)
CARDSTOCK: Crumb Cake (120953), Early Espresso (119686)
ACCESSORIES: Big Shot (113439), Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127819), Dimensionals (104430), Stamping Spongs (101610), Naturals Designer Buttons (127554), Linen Thread (104199), Stitched Satin Ribbon (Raspberry Ripple 126845), Stampin’ Embossing Powder ( White 109132), Heat Tool (129053), Versa Mark (102283), Glue Dots (103683), Snail Adhesive (104332)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Fold a piece of 11” X 4 ¼” sheet of Crumb Cake CS in half. Place the front side of the card you just folded into the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder and run it through the Big Shot on Tab 1. Keep the card in the folded position. Take the Crumb Cake ink pad and rub it onto the raised portion of the embossed card. Set this part aside.
Take a 2 ½” X 3 ¼” piece of Crumb Cake and stamp the large flower from the Everything Eleanor with Versa Mark and then stamp on the paper. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder on the stamped image and heat with Heat Tool until the powder melts to a shiny white.
Stamp the swirl image from the same set and stamp around the image in Crumb Cake. Color the flower in Raspberry Ripple. Wipe off excess that lays on top of the embossed image for a crisper, cleaner look.
Tear around the stamped image close to the edge. Using a sponge and Early Espresso Ink, sponge around the torn edges.
Adhere the Raspberry Ripple ribbon at the bottom edge of 3” X 4 1/8” piece of Early Espresso. Thread the button with Linen Thread and tie into a bow. Using Glue Dots, adhere to ribbon on left side.
Glue the Early Espresso piece of CardStock with the ribbon and button onto the Embossed front of the card. Be sure to center it. Put four dimensionals on the back of the floral image piece and adhere to the top of the Early Espresso Card Stock.
Now all you need is a fabulous greeting for the inside.
Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping,

You heard me right. Flowers and butterflies! I made this card for my DH for his birthday and I just loved the way it came out. Stampin' Up really makes it easy to pull together many colors, stamp sets and punches that coordinate so easily that even though it involved quite a few stamps it was quite easy to put together and it was well worth it, don't you think?
I used a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" Midnight Muse Card Stock (126843) for the base and folded it in half. I cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock (100730)to 5 1/4" X 4" for the top layer. I worked it up as follows before attaching it to the front.
This card would look great in other colors, too and you most certainly could add a bit of ribbon to it if you wished to girl it up a bit, too.
Hope you like this card as much as my DH did.
Happy stamping,

One of my new favorites is the Vine Street embossing folder. Of course, you can use the full folder or just use a part of it as it did here. Insert your Whisper White Card Stock so that it will capture just one of the "vines" and run it through the Big Shot. What I also love about this card is that I did not feel wasteful using the DSP as it came from the smaller sized Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack. I hope SU continues to make these kinds of paper packs as it will encourage card makers to use more DSP in their designs.
